Daniil Tarasov made 36 saves but allowed six goals in the Blue Jackets' 7-4 loss to the Hurricanes on Thursday. The defeat dropped his record to 4-6-2 on the season.
Fantasy Impact:
Tarasov has shown flashes of potential but has just one win since Oct. 22, struggling to find consistency in a challenging season for Columbus. While his talent suggests he could develop into an NHL starter, the instability of the team in front of him limits his current fantasy value. Managers should keep Tarasov on the bench unless he can string together a hot streak, as his current role makes him a risky option in all but the deepest leagues.
