James van Riemsdyk records assist in OT win over Utah
by Bruno Mulé | Red Wings Correspondent | Sat, Feb 1st 9:58am EST
James van Riemsdyk notched an assist in Friday’s 3-2 overtime victory against Utah.
Fantasy Impact:
Van Riemsdyk showed toughness, returning in the third period with a full face shield after taking a high stick in the first. Despite the injury, he contributed to Kent Johnson’s game-tying goal, capping off an excellent January with six goals and seven assists over 14 games. The veteran winger now has 22 points, 58 shots on net, and a minus-5 rating through 45 appearances. While his recent scoring surge may not be sustainable, his role in the top six appears secure, making him a viable fantasy option in deeper leagues.
