Alex Newhook registered an assist in Wednesday’s 6-3 loss to Los Angeles, extending his productive start to February.
Fantasy Impact:
Newhook has tallied four points in three games this month, equaling his total from all of January. The 24-year-old appears to be meshing well on a revamped second line alongside Kirby Dach and Josh Anderson. While his 17 points through 54 games remain underwhelming, his recent uptick in production makes him a name to monitor. He’ll need to maintain this level of play over a longer stretch before becoming a reliable fantasy asset.
