Josh Anderson finds the net in win over Senators
by Bruno Mulé | Canadiens Correspondent | Sun, Feb 23rd 5:03pm EST
Josh Anderson scored a goal, recorded two PIM, delivered three hits, and finished plus-2 in Saturday’s 5-2 victory over Ottawa. The tally snapped a 10-game point drought for the veteran winger.
Fantasy Impact:
Anderson remains a middle-six fixture in Montreal’s lineup, but his offensive production continues to be inconsistent. With nine goals and 19 points through 57 games, he’s on pace to exceed last season’s disappointing 20-point output, but a return to his previous 20-goal form seems unlikely given his declining shot volume. While his physical play (124 hits, 58 PIM) adds fantasy value in deeper leagues, he remains a streaky scorer best suited for category-based formats.
