Cutter Gauthier scores twice in overtime loss to Red Wings

Cutter Gauthier recorded two goals on three shots and blocked two shots in Sunday’s 5-4 overtime loss to Detroit. The rookie winger found the back of the net in the second period and later tied the game with an unassisted goal in the final minute of regulation.

Fantasy Impact:

Gauthier has now reached the double-digit goal mark in his rookie campaign, bringing his season totals to 11 goals, 24 points, and 118 shots in 56 appearances. The 21-year-old has been heating up with four goals over his last seven outings, marking his best offensive stretch of the season. However, his overall production remains limited, as he is currently in a 16-game assist drought. While his recent goal surge makes him a name to watch in deeper leagues, managers in standard formats can likely find more well-rounded offensive options on waivers.
