Kevin Lankinen takes loss in first start of season

Kevin Lankinen allowed four goals on 34 shots in Monday's 5-2 loss to the Blues. St. Louis' fifth and final tally was scored into an empty net. Lankinen made 30 saves in his first start of the campaign.
Fantasy Impact:
This was Lankinen's first start of the season, and it does little to change his fantasy outlook. He serves as the clear backup to Thatcher Demko and will likely only see action in back-to-back situations or to give the starter a rest. Fantasy managers in standard leagues can leave Lankinen on the waiver wire, though he may have some value as a spot starter or handcuff in deeper formats.
