Horvat scored the only goal for Vancouver in their 4-1 loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins on Wednesday. He finished the game with a point, an even-rating, two PIMs, four shots, three hits and one block.

Fantasy Impact: The goal snaps his seven-game scoreless drought and was for naught as the Canucks couldn't get anything going. He made a nice solo effort to get to the net and put it under the bar. He's got six this year.

Canucks goaltender Thatcher Demko will start in net when Vancouver faces off with the Pittsburgh Penguins Wednesday night. (Source: Brandon Batchelor on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Demko has been underwhelming in net for the Canucks to say the least. He takes a 3.07 goals against average and .905 save percentage into a matchup with a Penguins offense averaging 2.94 goals per game. If you have other options, use them.

Oliver Ekman-Larsson scored his second goal of the season. He also logged four SOG, one hit, and one block on the night.

Fantasy Impact: Ekman-Larsson now has four points in 18 games this season. He should remain on the waiver wire at this point.

Elias Pettersson tallied his seventh assist of the season in the Canucks 3-2 win over the Jets. He finished the night with three SOG and a +1 rating.

Fantasy Impact: Pettersson now has 10 points on the season in 18 games. This likely is not the pace fantasy managers were hoping for from Pettersson. He may be worth trading right now if you can get good value.

Tucker Poolman scored a goal and added an assist for a +2 and the lone bright spot in Vancouver's loss to Colorado.

Fantasy Impact: Poolman is certainly not known for his offensive prowess, but he is having a solid year overall. He is up to 14 hits, 27 blocked shots, 10 PIM, and a +5 on the season. He's not worth rostering at this point but stick him on your emergency list should you need a fill-in.

Quinn Hughes recorded his team-leading 12th assist of the season in Sunday's 5-1 loss to the Ducks.

Fantasy Impact: The dynamic offensive defenseman has been one of the lone bright spots for the struggling Canucks. His 12 assists are the most among NHL defenseman and he trails only Roman Josi and Adam Fox in points. He's also impressively a +5 on a struggling team. Keep playing him with confidence.

J.T. Miller picked up his 11th assist of the season in Sunday's 5-1 loss to the Ducks.

Fantasy Impact: The Canucks appear to be a broken team right now but Miller continues to find ways to contribute to your fantasy team. He's on an eight game point streak and he's still a +2 despite the Canucks being outscored 19-6 in their last three games alone. He's a hard working player who won't change the way he plays when times are tough, so keep putting him in your lineups.

Braden Holtby allowed three goals in the Stars' 4-3 shootout loss to the Jets on Tuesday. He saved 32-35 shots against while taking the loss.

Fantasy Impact: Holtby has played better than his 2-3-1 record would indicate. He should continue to get a lot of ice-time going forward.

Fantasy Impact: With the two points, Gaudette was able to double his season output. Through 21 games, he now has two goals and two assists. He should not pop up on your fantasy radar.

Fantasy Impact: This was a huge night for Schmidt, who had just five points coming into the game. His Canucks career has gotten off to a slow start so far, but hopefully this can get him going.

Alexander Edler and his Canucks teammates were unable to put up any offence against the Edmonton Oilers Thursday night, losing by a final of 3-0.

Fantasy Impact: This now marks four straight losses for the Canucks, who are falling further and further from a playoff spot. Edler's play certainly hasn't helped, as the usually reliable Swedish defenceman has just four assists on the year.

Fantasy Impact: With the assist, Benn now has three points in his last four outings. The 33-year-old defenceman who registered just seven points last season is already up to six this year. While it isn't likely to continue, he is on a bit of a hot streak right now.

Anders Nilsson allowed four goals on 36 shots as the Canucks fell to the Tampa Bay Lightning Tuesday.

Fantasy Impact: To be blunt, Nilsson stinks right now. He hasn't won since October 16th. Nilsson is 6'6", has good hockey smarts and has demonstrated impressive athleticism in previous stints. It just hasn't come together for him this season —neither has any fantasy relevance.
