Fantasy Impact: Demko has fought consistency issues in net of late, allowing three or more goals in six of his last 10 starts (9-1-0) for the Canucks. The netminder has been picked up by a dynamic Vancouver offensive attack under head coach Rick Tocchet when the 28-year-old is not at his best, carrying a 2.47 GAA and .918 save percentage to go along with five shutouts in 37 appearances (27-9-1) so far this season.

Fantasy Impact: Horvat gives an immediate boost to an Islanders squad that has struggled to produce consistent offense in front of all-world netminder Ilya Sorokin as the club pushes for a postseason berth. The 27-year-old superstar has been strong to this point for fantasy owners, posting a 1.10 point per game average (31 goals, 23 assists) in 49 games so far this season.

Colin Delia was solid in net for the Canucks Friday night, stopping 24 of 26 shots faced in a 5-2 win over the Blue Jackets.

Fantasy Impact: After spending parts of 10 seasons with the Detroit Red Wings, Dekeyser latched on with the Canucks via a PTO on Sept. 9. A former hot commodity out of college, Dekeyser's game never materialized into fantasy relevance but he could garner further NHL interest given his experience.

Fantasy Impact: This is not welcomed news for a player coming off a career year last season with the Toronto Maple Leafs. Mikheyev erupted for career highs in goals (21), points (32), and shots on goal (147) a season ago. Opening night still appears to be in play but we should know closer to the Canucks' regular-season opener on Oct. 12 against the Edmonton Oilers.

Jaroslav Halak stopped 25 of 28 shots against in a 4-1 road loss in St. Louis. He was pulled with 3:17 to play and Tarasenko scored an empty net goal just a few moments later.

Fantasy Impact: Halak has won only one game in his last six starts and falls to 3-7-2 with a 3.19 goals against average and .894 save percentage in 15 games played this season.

Tyler Myers scored his first goal of the season late in the first period during the Canucks' 5-2 win over the Rangers.

Fantasy Impact: The veteran defenseman has been doing plenty of contributing with 101 hits and 111 blocked shots. His offensive stats do remain under his regular career numbers, but fantasy managers should see any tallies in this realm as a bonus.

Motte got the goal just eleven seconds into play, the fastest goal of the year, and also added his seventh assist. The Canucks fell behind 2-1 by the end of the first period of play, but Travis Hamonic and Vasily Podkolzin picked up a goal a piece to give the team a 3-2 advantage heading into the third. They eventually pulled away with a quick third period goal and closed things out with an empty-netter to make it 5-2.

Fantasy Impact: The goal put the defenseman at eight on the season and also notched him his 200th career point. He quickly picked up 201 with an assist in the second period. Motte added a block and came out in the positive in this one.
