Matthew Schaefer was able to light the lamp for the Islanders Saturday night, scoring his first career goal in a 4-2 loss to the Capitals.
Fantasy Impact:
Schaefer is off to a torrid start in the offensive zone, registering points in each of his first two games (one goal, one assist) for the Islanders. The rookie defenseman should continue to provide an underperforming New York blueline group with dynamic option as he continues his rookie season.
