Stuart Skinner traded to Penguins

by Chris Schommer | Oilers Correspondent | Sat, Dec 13th 9:30am EST

The Edmonton Oilers have traded Stuart Skinner to the Pittsburgh Penguins along with Brett Kulak and a 2029 second-round pick in exchange for Tristan Jarry and Samuel Poulin according to Frank Seravalli. (Frank Seravalli on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Skinner receives an opportunity for a fresh start after struggling with consistency issues between the pipes for an Edmonton squad once again loaded up in hopes of another run at a Stanley Cup. The 27-year-old is now part of a netminding tandem along with Arturs Silovs in which first-year head coach Dan Muse will ride the hot hand, posting an .891 save percentage and 2.83 GAA in 23 appearances (11-8-4, two shutouts) in the Edmonton net prior to being traded.
