Mathew Barzal posted one assist in the Islanders' 3-2 loss to the Red Wings Tuesday night.

Barzal has caught fire in the offensive zone of late, notching points in six of his last seven games (two goals, six assists) for the Islanders. The center remains one of the more productive offensive options for head coach Patrick Roy as part of an inconsistent New York lineup, tallying 26 points (nine goals, 17 assists) in 33 games so far this season.
