Mason Marchment

Mason Marchment traded to Columbus for two picks

by David Leisering | Blue Jackets Correspondent | Sat, Dec 20th 8:19am EST

The Columbus Blue Jackets acquired forward Mason Marchment from the Seattle Kraken early Saturday morning. In exchange for Marchment, the Blue Jackets are sending back to Seattle a 2026 fourth-round pick and a 2027 second-round selection. (NHL on X)

Fantasy Impact:

Marchment played only 29 games for the Kraken after being acquired over the summer from the Dallas Stars. He had four goals and nine assists with Seattle, well off his offensive pace from a year ago where he scored 47 points - including 22 goals - in 62 games with the Stars. The physical winger will join a Columbus team that is tied for last in the ultra-competitive Eastern Conference with 34 points. He should fill a middle-six role and see some power play time with the Blue Jackets. It is unclear if Marchment will make his Columbus debut in Anaheim on Saturday night against the Ducks.
