Matthew Knies lights lamp in Sunday's loss to Red Wings
by Chris Schommer | Maple Leafs Correspondent | Tue, Dec 30th 2:22pm EST
Matthew Knies was able to light the lamp for the Maple Leafs Sunday night, scoring one goal in a 3-2 loss to the Red Wings.
Fantasy Impact:
Knies has caught fire in the offensive zone, picking up points in each of his last three games (three goals, two assists) for the Maple Leafs. The 23-year-old provides head coach Craig Berube with one of the few reliable offensive options as part of a disappointing Toronto lineup, notching 34 points (10 goals, 24 assists) in 35 games so far this season.
