John Carlson tallied two assists in the Capitals' 4-3 loss to the Canucks Wednesday night.

Carlson has caught fire in the offensive zone, recording points in seven of his last nine games (one goal, 10 assists) for the Capitals. The 36-year-old continues to offer head coach Spencer Carberry one of many productive offensive options from the blueline in the Washington lineup, notching 40 points (nine goals, 31 assists) in 47 games so far this season.
