Fantasy Impact: Erne is a physical player who rarely finds himself in the penalty box. With a plethora of bottom-six players to compete with, Erne has his work cut out for him if he's going to make the roster out of training camp.

It appears the Tampa Bay Lightning are looking to trade backup goaltender Louis Domingue this offseason. (Source: TSN.ca)

Fantasy Impact: On Tuesday, the Lightning traded forward Ryan Callahan in exchange for goalie Mike Condon from the Ottawa Senators. Furthermore, Tampa Bay had acquired Curtis McElhinney from Carolina to a two-year deal to serve as the primary backup goalie for starter Andrei Vasilevskiy. Domingue currently has a 55-49-8 record with a 0.907 SV% and 2.97 GAA for his career. With so many goalies on the Lightning's roster, it seems Domingue is the odd man out.

Goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy has agreed to an eight-year, $76 million extension with the Tampa Bay Lightning. His AAV of $9.5 million is now the third highest in the NHL amongst goalies. (Source: Tampa Bay Lightning on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Vasilevskiy was money in 2018-19, and now he's being rewarded for it. He was a key factor in the Lightning's historic regular season success as he posted a 2.40 goals-against average and .925 save percentage while amassing an NHL-high 39 wins; he tacked on six shutouts for good measure. As a result, he went on to be awarded the Vezina Trophy as the league's top goalie. The 25-year-old is already among the elite at his position, and when you consider he'll be backstopping a stacked Lightning squad for eight more years, Vasilevskiy checks all the boxes of a cornerstone keeper league piece. He should be the first goalie off the board in all formats this fall.

Tampa Bay Lightning forward Nikita Kucherov has been named a finalist for the Hart Trophy for the 2018-2019 season. The award is given annually to the most-valuable-player in the NHL. Kucherov is joined by Connor McDavid of the Edmonton Oilers and Sidney Crosby of the Pittsburgh Penguins as finalists. (Source: Yahoo!)

Fantasy Impact: It would be surprising if Kucherov did not ultimately win the award too, as he paced the entire league with 128 points on a team that tied the NHL regular-season record for wins with 62. He should be one of the first two players off-the-board in fantasy drafts next season.

Steven Stamkos scored a goal as well as provided an assist on Brayden Point's game-tying goal late in the second period against Columbus.

Fantasy Impact: Stamkos's brave efforts were not enough to the dismay of many Lightning fans as the Columbus Blue Jackets completed the first round sweep Tuesday evening. Stamkos will end his post-season prematurely with only a goal and an assist.

Ondrej Palat lit the lamp Sunday, but it was not enough for the Lightning to avoid losing a third consecutive game this series against the Blue Jackets.

Tampa Bay is in a precarious situation right now and will need to win some games on the road in order to overcome this obstacle. Peter Budaj will start in net for Tampa Bay in their road game against the Devils on Tuesday. (Source: Mike Morreale of NHL.com on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Budaj will be making his season debut after Andrei Vasilevskiy patrolled the crease in the Bolts' first six games to launch the 2017-18 campaign. The 35-year-old Czech filled in admirably last year in Los Angeles when Jonathan Quick missed a chunk of time with a groin injury, posting 27-20-3 record, 2.12 GAA and.917 SV%.

Drouin scored two goals in the Lightning's 5-4 overtime win over the Chicago Blackhawks yesterday. He also added two shots on goal and finished with an even rating in over 18 minutes of ice time.
