Eligibility
Alex Nylander registered two points in the Blackhawks’ 6-2 win over the Ducks on Tuesday. He was a plus three with one goal, one assist and three SOG in 13:48 of ice-time. Nylander now has nine goals and 14 assists in 61 games played this season.
Fantasy Impact
Nylander started the season on the first line with Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews but that did not work out. If he ever had fantasy value that was the time. Those days are gone and so he should be on the waiver wire.
Alexander Nylander had goals in the Blackhawks' 8-4 win over the Flames on Saturday. He was a plus one with two goals on four SOG in 10:08 of ice-time.
Fantasy Impact
Nylander was a sexy pick in draft season because he was slated to be on the first line with Johnathan Toews and Patrick Kane. Since he did not play well enough he dropped a few lines and did not perform up to his draft day price. He now has eight goals and 11 assists thru 53 games.
Alexander Nylander had an assist in the Blackhawks 5-1 win against the Kings.
Fantasy Impact
Nylander the former first round pick, has been productive with 5 total points in 9 games played on the season.
Alexander Nylander potted his first NHL goal in his first career game. He did so in the Blackhawks 4-3 loss to the Flyers. Nylander had one goal on one shot in 15:07 of ice-time.
Fantasy Impact
If Nylander continues to see ice-time with Patrick Kane he could become a fantasy asset. The Blackhawks brought him in because of his former high pedigree being a top-ten pick in the 2016 NHL draft. In very deep leagues he could be a good speculative add or in shallower leagues add him to your watch-list.
Alex Nylander cancels planned vacation to attend Blackhawks development camp.
Fantasy Impact
The recently acquired Nylander is doing his best to make a good impression on his new team. The 21-year-old winger comes to Chicago with a high first-round draft pedigree, and some recent success in the AHL. He finished the 2018-19 AHL season with 31 points in only 49 games. The Blackhawks will be looking for a similar return on investment to last seasons Dylan Strome trade. Both trades involved recent high-end picks, that for one reason or another did not work out on their original team. Only time will tell if Nylander can take advantage of his new situation as well as Strome did, but he certainly has the talent to do so. Nylander is off the re-draft radar, but he could become fantasy relevant if he makes the NHL roster out of camp, so keep an eye on him.
