Anthony Stolarz performs well in win

Anthony Stolarz gave up two goals on 31 shots in Tuesday's 3-2 overtime win over the Blackhawks.

Fantasy Impact

Stolarz earned the start with the Ducks on the second night of a back-to-back, and he took the opportunity and ran with it. He is the clear backup in Anaheim, and would not be relevant in Fantasy Hockey unless John Gibson is traded or injured. He improved his season numbers to 5-6-0 with a 3.73 GAA and a .897 SV%. Leave him on the waiver wire in your league.

Anthony Stolarz dominates in win

Anthony Stolarz turned aside 37 of 39 shots in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Coyotes.

Fantasy Impact

Stolarz has been receiving more starts now than he was earlier in the season. While John Gibson is still the clear starter in Anaheim, he no longer has an overwhelming lion's share. Unfortunately for Stolarz, the Ducks are too poor of a team to rely on for consistency in goaltending statistics. Stolarz is now 4-6-0, with a 3.88 GAA and a .895 SV%. Leave him on the waiver wire in your league, the juice is not worth the squeeze.

Anthony Stolarz pulled after early struggles

Anthony Stolarz received the hook after the first period, after allowing three goals on 15 shots in Thursday's 5-2 win over the Blue Jackets.

Fantasy Impact

Stolarz received his second straight start after a decent game in Philadelphia, but he just did not have it tonight. He was replaced at the start of the second period by John Gibson. At best, Stolarz could be the 1B on a rebuilding team, and that is tough to justify rostering in any format of Fantasy Hockey. On the year, he is 3-6-0, with a 4.04 GAA and a .890 SV%. Leave him on the waiver wire in your league.

Anthony Stolarz gives up four in defeat

Anthony Stolarz allowed four goals on 38 shots in Tuesday's 5-2 loss to the Flyers.

Fantasy Impact

The veteran did all that he could in this one, but it was another game where the Ducks were outclassed from the start. Stolarz essentially only gets the nod when there's a back-to-back, as the Ducks give John Gibson more than the lion's share of starts. The lack of playing time, and his mediocre slash line of 3-6-0 with a 3.89 GAA and a .893 SV% make him irrelevant in all formats of Fantasy Hockey.

Anthony Stolarz earns victory in return

Anthony Stolarz returned after being sidelined for a month with an injury, allowing four goals on 41 shots in the 5-4 overtime win against the Sharks.

Fantasy Impact

Oddly enough, Stolarz earned his third win of the year, with all three coming against the Sharks. He offers minimal Fantasy value in all formats, as he is the backup on a rebuilding Ducks team. If John Gibson is not even a must-roster player, Stolarz is nowhere close to that either. He is now 3-5-0 on the year with a 4.01 GAA and a .888 SV%. Keep him on the waiver wire in your league.
