Chris Driedger picks up eighth loss of season in 5-2 loss

The goalie stopped 41-of-45 shots-on-goal, nearly a .68 percent higher attempt rate than the team is currently averaging at 28.3 per-game. Driedger gave up the quickest goal of the year to Tyler Motte just eleven seconds into play, and held his own with a plethora of great saves, but the Canucks just kept on coming. He eventually gave up two goals in the second period and one more in the third before the Canucks got an empty-netter to cap it off with the 5-2 win.

Fantasy Impact

Driedger moves to 4-8 on the year. The goalkeeper owns an .893 save-percentage and a 3.3 goals-against average.

Chris Driedger gives up three goals in loss

This was Driedger’s first start since entering the COVID-19 protocol on January 16th. David Pastrnak kicked things off with a power-play goal in the second period, followed up by a Taylor Hall goal to end the period with a 2-0 Bruins lead. Driedger ultimately surrendered another Pastrnak power-play goal at the 10:49 mark of the third period after the Kraken evened things up with two goals of their own, to end the game with a 3-2 Bruin win.

Fantasy Impact

The loss moves Driedger to a 3-7 record with 3.18 goals-allowed and a .895 save-percent. He has now lost five straight. It has been a rough season to say the least.
