New York Rangers' forward Cody McLeod was traded Wednesday to the Nashville Predators for a 2020 seventh-round pick.
Fantasy Impact
McLeod only had one goal and zero points in 31 games for Broadway this season. McLeod will provide some grit to Nashville as they look to make another Stanley Cup run this spring.
Cody McLeod scored a goal during Thursday's 4-3 loss to the New York Rangers.
Fantasy Impact
McLeod parked right in front of the net, where he was able to rebound a shot by P.K. Subban and put it home for the goal. McLeod now has four goals on the season, and this was his second goal as a Predator. Unfortunately, McLeod is more of a big-hitting and physical wing than a scoring type, and he only has 5 points through 40 games this season.
Cody McLeod scored his third goal of the season during the Predators 5-4 overtime loss to the Buffalo Sabres.
Fantasy Impact
McLeod has been more of a physical facilitator since being traded from the Avalanche to the Predators. He did find a way to score and put Nashville ahead 2-1 early in the second period this game, but he has just one point over his last five games. McLeod needs to be on the score-sheet more often before anyone jumps to pick him up on the waiver wire.
