Danny DeKeyser

The Vancouver Canucks released veteran defenseman Danny Dekeyser from his professional tryout Tuesday.

Fantasy Impact

After spending parts of 10 seasons with the Detroit Red Wings, Dekeyser latched on with the Canucks via a PTO on Sept. 9. A former hot commodity out of college, Dekeyser's game never materialized into fantasy relevance but he could garner further NHL interest given his experience.

Danny DeKeyser scored a goal in the Red Wings 4-3 overtime loss to the Avalanche on Tuesday. He was a minus one with one goal, two PIM and one SOG in 39 games played.

Danny DeKeyser now has four goals and ten assists thru 39 games played. He is not worth the add and should stay on the waiver wire. The Red Wings are not a good team and its hard to roster many of their players.

Danny DeKeyser scored the game-winning-goal in overtime to propel the Red Wings to a 3-2 victory over the Maple Leafs. He had one goal, two PIM and one SOG in 22:25 of ice-time.

DeKeyser is fantasy irrelevant. He has two goals and nine assists thru 25 games.

Dekeyser's return was bittersweet. He scored but was a minus three. He should get back on track and continue to perform well after his return fro a hand injury.

DeKeyser recorded an assist on the lone Detroit first period goal. He has scored a point in three straight games.

In his three full seasons, he has scored between 20 and 31 points. He is young enough that it is possible he will get better so he is worth keeping an eye on.
