Next Game
Eligibility
Pittsburgh Penguins forward Danton Heinen recorded an assist in Thursday's win over the Los Angeles Kings.
Fantasy Impact
Heinen was one of 13 Penguins to reach the scoresheet Thursday as he assisted on Jeff Petry's second-period goal. The 27-year-old has shown glimpses of fantasy relevance in the past but still managed just 33 points in 76 games last season. He's off to a fine start this season, however, with four points in as many games.
Danton Heinen scored his fourth goal of the season in Boston's 3-2 shootout loss against the Flyers Sunday.
Fantasy Impact
Heinen is coming off a 12 goal campaign in '18-19. This season he's seeing time on the Bruins second line and first power play unit. He scored 16 goals and 31 assists in '17-18, numbers that he could approach again if his increased playing time is sustained. He's worthy of keeping an eye on in deeper fantasy leagues.
Danton Heinen scored a first period power play goal as the Bruins topped the Stars 2-1 Thursday.
Fantasy Impact
Heinen has little fantasy relevance, but the Bruins will take whatever they can get from their second power play unit.
Danton Heinen and the Boston Bruins avoided arbitration as they came to an agreement on a two-year, $5.6 million deal.
Fantasy Impact
The 24-year-old Heinen is coming off of his second full season in the NHL which saw him post 11 goals and 34 points. This came as a bit of a disappointment, as Heinen managed to put up 16 goals and 47 points back in his rookie season. Unfortunately for Heinen, the Bruins don’t tend to spread the offensive wealth across their lines; cramming Patrice Bergeron, David Pastrnak and Brad Marchand on what is arguably the best line in the NHL. Heinen is a decent middle-six forward but he receives little to no power-play time. He’s worth keeping an eye on in case the Bruins happen to shuffle their studs around the lineup, but otherwise, he’s probably best left alone outside of deep leagues.
Danton Heinen scored a goal and added an assist during Boston’s 6-2 thrashing of Carolina on Sunday. He was also a plus-three with two shots-on-goal for the contest. Heinen now has two goals and five assists during the playoffs.
Fantasy Impact
Heinen has had a quiet postseason, so Sunday’s effort was a welcome change of pace. The 23-year-old forward will look to build off this outing as the series shifts to Carolina for Game 3 on Tuesday.
