The veteran center now has three goals and two assists in nine games played with the Sabres. After years of being the number one center in Minnesota, Staal is a sneaky good fantasy option in a second-line center role with Buffalo. Eric Staal is putting together another respectable season in Minnesota after falling off towards the end of his tenure in Carolina. Staal has 10 goals and 9 assists through 25 games. Staal should be able sustain that scoring rate and possibly raise it a little. Staal is on a strong second even strength line with Jason Zucker and Mikael Granlund and also is getting first power play unit duty. Staal is of value in most fantasy formats especially those that have faceoff wins as a category.
