Ian Cole finds the back of the net

Ian Cole tallied a goal and an assist in Colorado's 5-2 road win over the New Jersey Devils on Saturday. He finished the game with two points, a plus-2 rating, two shots, one hit and one block.

Fantasy Impact

Cole took a shot from the point and banked it off a New Jersey defender to score his fourth of the season. He has provided four goals and 16 assists so far this season. It doesn't sound like much, but Cole is an instrumental piece of the Avs defensive corps. He doesn't provide a lot of stats for fantasy purposes but is effective in the rear guard and his plus-24 rating speaks to the intangibles he provides.

Second of the season for Ian Cole

Ian Cole notched a goal and an assist in Colorado's 4-1 road victory over the Chicago Blackhawks on Wednesday. He finished the game with two points, a plus-3 rating, five shots, two hits and two blocks.

Fantasy Impact

Cole took a slap shot from the left point after the Avalanche had extended time in Chicago's zone. It didn't appear to be screened but looked like Corey Crawford committed a bit early and dropped into the butterfly too soon only to see the puck whiz over his shoulder into the top corner. Cole is up to two goals and 14 points this year and doesn't provide much fantasy value.

Ian Cole with another point for Penguins

Cole has kept up his level of play and it is reflecting not just in ice-time but points as well. He took a shortside shot that deflected in off of Evgeni Malkin fighting for position at the top of the crease.

Fantasy Impact

Cole has 3 assists in the last 4 contests, and 5 in the playoffs.
