The Anaheim Ducks announced Monday that defenseman Jamie Drysdale will miss 4-6 months with a torn labrum.

It's a significant blow for a young player that carries solid fantasy upside moving forward. The 20-year-old former first-rounder was without a point in eight games so far this season but collected a healthy 32 points in 81 games as a 19-year-old rookie last season. Needless to say, he'll be hard-pressed to get back into the lineup this season.

Drysdale added a helper to his scoresheet in a beautiful pass that was redirected by teammate Derrick Grant. The rookie has been impressive on the Ducks blue line and looks to be a lower quality depth defenseman for fantasy managers. The Ducks were outmatched heavily, but look to rebound Saturday against the Chicago Blackhawks.
