Joel Edmundson was able to light the lamp for the Kings Wednesday night, scoring one goal in a 3-2 win over the Stars.

Fantasy Impact

Edmundson has not been very impactful in the offensive zone of late, picking up points in just two of the last 10 games (one goal, one assist) for the Kings. The 31-year-old's value is seen more in the defensive zone, tallying 39 hits to go along with eight points (four goals, four assists) in 24 games so far this season.

Joel Edmundson was traded to Carolina along with prospect Dominik Bokk in exchange for Justin Faulk. Faulk would then sign a seven-year extension worth $45.5 million.

Fantasy Impact

Faulk is one of the better goal-scoring defensemen in the NHL. He has six straight seasons of 30+ points but only one (2014-15 with 49). Faulk is not currently on the top-level of fantasy defensemen but he is a good option who should be owned in the vast majority of leagues.

Joel Edmundson was awarded $3.1 million in arbitration after a solid season. He was called an important part of the Blue's defensive plan going into the season.
