Lucas Raymond makes it interesting in Detroit

Lucas Raymond found the back of the net in a losing effort on Tuesday as Detroit fell 7-5 to the visiting Edmonton Oilers. His stat line included a goal, a minus-1 rating, three shots, two hits and one block.

Fantasy Impact

Mikko Koskinen made a not-so-subtle error behind the net while trying to control the puck. Detroit stripped him and the puck found it's way to the front of a bare, gaping net. Raymond swooped in and tied the game at fives but Detroit ultimately lost. The goal is his 19th of his rookie campaign.

Lucas Raymond nets a pair in shootout loss

Lucas Raymond buried two goals, an even-rating, two PIMs, six shots and three hits in Detroit's 6-5 shootout defeat to the Minnesota Wild on Thursday.

Fantasy Impact

Raymond's first goal came off a semi-duffed one time shot when he received a pass from Nick Leddy at the top of the circle. He got just enough of it to hit the wide open cage. His second came from Leddy as well while he was posted up in the slot. It was an easy redirect that went through Cam Talbot. He has registered goals 17 and 18 which brings him to 45 points on the year.

Three points on Saturday for Lucas Raymond

Lucas Raymond netted a pair of goals, an assist, a minus-1 rating, two shots and one hit as Detroit lost a 10-7 barn burner to the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday.

Fantasy Impact

Raymond's first goal came from the slot as he was posted up with a bunch of bodies and a juicy rebound found it's way to his stick which he buried in the first period. His second came later in the game...(which happened to be the 15th goal of the game) on a two-on-one where he shot it and it leaked through Peter Mrazek. He's up to 15 goals and 42 points in his rookie season.

Lucas Raymond blasts one-time goal on Monday

Lucas Raymond netted a goal, an even-rating, two PIMs, five shots and two hits through 21:25 TOI as the Red Wings fell to the hosting Minnesota Wild 7-4.

Fantasy Impact

Raymond was drifting in through circle on the power play and team mate Tyler Bertuzzi saw him moving in. He delivered a crisp pass that landed right where it needed to and Raymond fired it through Kappo Kahkonen for his 13th of the year. That's four points in three games and is up to 39 points total.

Lucas Raymond collects two points vs Philly

Lucas Raymond registered a goal, an assist, an even-rating, three shots and one hit in Detroit's 6-3 win over the Philadelphia Flyers on Wednesday.

Fantasy Impact

Raymond was buzzing in the high-danger area and was able to get a shot off. Carter Hart made the save but he collected his own rebound and put it in. Raymond was being discussed as an early Calder candidate but he has cooled off considerably over the last month. His last goal was on January 15th. Hopefully this performance gets him going and he can contribute like he did earlier. He's up to 12 goals and 37 points.
