Marc-Andre Fleury

Las Vegas Golden Knights

Marc-Andre Fleury stops 21 of 22 San Jose shots for his 440th NHL victory.

Fantasy Impact: Fleury won his tenth career season opener. He was a deserving top five goalie pick this season in fantasy drafts. The aging Fleury may be rested a few more games this season, but will still get you consistent points and wins when he is in front of the net for Vegas.

Fantasy Impact: Fleury currently has a 0.912 SV% and a 2.47 GAA in this series. He has looked good for the majority of the playoffs so far, but Vegas may need to see him kick it into high-gear to win Game Seven against a surging Sharks squad Tuesday night.

Despite the poor performance, Fleury has bounced back from bad playoff games before and this upcoming match-up Saturday should be no different for the veteran goaltender.

Marc-Andre Fleury stops 23 of 28 shots Friday night against the Jets en route to his fifth consecutive loss.

Fantasy Impact: Fleury looked shaky once again. His save percentage in the month of February stands at .885. He will need to play better if the Golden Knights seek to make a deep playoff run. Keep Fleury out of your lineups until he snaps out of this funk.

Marc-Andre Fleury loses third straight game at home for the Golden Knights on Thursday night.

Fantasy Impact: Fleury is still looking for his thirtieth win on the season. He did not look sharp against the Maple Leafs high powered offense, allowing six goals. Fatigue may be a factor for the 34-year-old as he has been in goal for every game since the All-Star break except for one. Until Fleury gets some rest, consider other options at your goaltender spot.

Marc-Andre Fleury fell to 27-13-4 after a 4-2 loss to the Minnesota Wild on Monday.

Fantasy Impact: Fleury has allowed three goals in four of his last five starts, which is not terrible, but we've seen him be better than this. Keep starting him as he's likely to turn it up.

Marc-Andre Fleury fell to 26-12-4 after a 4-1 loss to Winnipeg on Tuesday. He gave up two goals.

Fantasy Impact: The Golden Knights allowed a pair of second-period goals, one while up a man, and couldn't recover from the deficit. Fleury made a couple of strong saves in the third period to keep his team in it, but Vegas only managed one from Brandon Pirri. The Jets added two empty-netter to seal it. Fleury is a solid option and should be started on most nights.

Marc-Andre Fleury and the Golden Knights stayed red-hot on Tuesday, defeating the Rangers, 4-2. Mika Zibanejad's goal snapped a shutout streak of 134 minutes, 46 seconds for Fleury.

Fantasy Impact: It's just another win for Fleury, his fifth straight in as many starts. He improves to 25-10-4 and has allowed six goals in his last five games. Fleury has gone 12 straight without a regulation loss at 9-0-3. The Golden Knights are on fire, and Fleury should be a no-brainer for any fantasy team. Get him in your lineup immediately, regardless of the matchup.

Fleury was equally good and lucky this time with spinning pucks on the goalline and bounces going off posts, however, his team had the better foot forward almost all game long and came away with the win.

Fantasy Impact: Flery remains a great start, as evidenced by his All-Star nod yet again, and of course, his league leading numbers in many important cathegories (wins and shutouts).

Marc-Andre Fleury limited the Anaheim Ducks to two goals on 27 shots during a 3-2 victory on Friday.

Fantasy Impact: Fleury is playing arguably his best hockey of the season. He's rattled off four straight wins, allowing four goals over that span, and is starting to look like his old self again.

Marc-Andre Fleury recorded 17 saves on Tuesday for his sixth shutout of the season.

Fantasy Impact: Fleury appears to be heating up. He has allowed just two goals in the last three games, and with six shutouts already this season, the goaltender could be looking at the third 40-win season of his career. If you're wondering, Fleury's career-high in shutouts is 10, something he did with the Penguins in 2014-15.

Category: , Game Recaps

Fleury allowed only a single goal in both his starts after league play had resumed, especially impressive being the win against the high-scoring Avs.

Fantasy Impact: The break seemed to do wonders with Fleaury and Vegas, who came back even stronger from the mini-break.

Category: , Game Recaps

Fleury dod not use these last two road games to improve on his seasonal stats, however, he still helped his team pick up 3 of the potential 4 points in the process and that's all Fleury will really care about. He made 37 saves on 42 shots in New Jersey and saved 27 of 30 in New York.

Fantasy Impact: Fleury will rarely have a game off as far as resting goes as there is a huge drop-off this season after him on the depth chart. Vegas has also been winning lately, even if it has not all been pretty.

Category: , Game Recaps

Fleury did not have the busiest nights, but he made those saves count keeping the Isles at a raching distance in the second and shutting it down after his team got the lead in the third.

Fantasy Impact: Fleury has 10 wins in his last 12 starts, with a .909 SV% and a 2.49 GAA in 29 games.

Category: , Game Recaps

Fleury was good, bad, ugly and unlucky in this one at certain points. Th first one he probably should have had and he put himself out of position on the third, although it was really unfortunate how that ended up in th back of the net eventually.

Fantasy Impact: Fleury will likely rest Sunday in a back-to-back, but he'll have a chance to bounce back next Wednesday against the Islanders.

Category: , Game Recaps

Fleury made 32 saves on 35 shots picking up his and his team's 16th win of the season.

Fantasy Impact: Fleury has 8 wins in his last 10 starts and boasts a .912 SV% and a 2.43 GAA through 26.

Fleury followed up a perfect performance with another, making 33 saves at home against the division leading San Jose Sharks. He flashed his glove a couple of times and needed a D to play goalie late to preserve the shutout, but hey, you gotta be good to be lucky.

Fantasy Impact: Fleury now has an NHL leading 5 shutouts and is a volume, quality starter, especially with Vegas now seemingly trending up.

Category: , Game Recaps

Fleury made 29 saves and was especially strong early on with a strong Flames start and late when Calgary tried to mount a comeback.

Fantasy Impact: This game just shows how unpredictable the Golden Knights and Fleury have been all season, pitching a shutout against a team that dropped 7 on them just 5 days prior.

Category: , Game Recaps

Even though he registered just a slightly over 0.900 SV% in both games, Fleury got them over the line in a tight OT affair against Arizona Wednesdey, after witnessing a 6 goal offensive eruption Sunday vs Edmonton.

Fantasy Impact: Defensively the Golden Knights are still nowhere to be desired, but the offense has picked up the slack and the wins have started coming more regularly for Fleury and Vegas.

Category: , Game Recaps

Disappointing night statistically for Fleury who in reality played really well in this one, making some highlight reel saves, flashing the mitts in the second and coming up with a Hasek-like scramble and an incredible sliding save in the third. Unforunately he couldn't close down Ryan O'Reilly soon enough on the quick Blues tying goal then he was beaten twice by screened and tipped shots he could do nothing about, before giving up a bad rebound to allow a fourth goal on the night.

Fantasy Impact: So has the season for Fleury and Vegas gone, a real up and down rollercoaster where you never really know what you will get the given night.

Category: , Game Recaps

Fleaury was on top of his game Wednesday night, there's no denying that. He made 29 saves, many of them in bunches, some even without a stick sliding left and right in his stance.

Fantasy Impact: Despite all the troubles and slumps Vegas has gone thorugh this season, Fleaury actually leads the NHL in shutouts with 3. He, as much as anybody and his team needed this one badly.

Category: , Game Recaps

In all honesty it was not a bad game by Fleury despite what the scoreboard and stats show, it's just Vegas could not clear or defend the slot for the life of them and defensive zone turnovers and too many second and third chances allowed did them in. It's never a good sign when your goalie is in full scramble mode all game long.

Fantasy Impact: It's a quick turnaround for Vegas as they are onto Boston tonight on the back end of a tough back-to-back series and a four game road trip. Expect Malcolm Subban to get the nod.

Category: , Game Recaps

Fleury looked like he could go for a shutout until a late second/early third period push by the Sens coupled with a lapse in play and defensive breakdowns by his own defense resulted in a 3 goal burst and a 3-3 tie by the halfway point of the third period. He stood strong after, however and the Vegas offense did just enough to get out of Ottawa with a win. Fleury made 27 saves on 30 shots Thursday.

Fantasy Impact: Fleury has a .901 SV%, a 2.51 GAA and 7 wins in 14 starts after 16 games.

Category: , Game Recaps

Vegas outshot Toronto almost 2:1, yet could not make them count, managing to score a single goal. The opposition on the other hand, capitalized on a brutal turnover in front of the net and beat Fleury with a perfect snipe through a partial screen.

Fantasy Impact: The inconsistency that is becoming a trademark of Vegas this season is making it's mark on it's goaltending as well. Fleury will start most games, but at this point one just can not be sure about the result.

Category: , Game Recaps

Fleury made a few spectacular saves and even scrambled for it a couple of times as his second shutout of the season was well-earned. He also got lucky on a few shots when the puck hit the post favorably, but that comes with the job sometimes.

Fantasy Impact: Fleaury, as much as Vegas needed this booster very much, and while his position and quality was never in question, the numbers and results haven't been coming as they were expected to.

Category: , Game Recaps

Fleury faced fewer shots than his counterpart, yet he allowed 5 goals on just 26 shots ending up with a barely over .800 efficiency on the night. In his defense, at least 3 of those goals were on missed or failed assigments and another was a perfectly places shot.

Fantasy Impact: Nonetheless, another poor game statistically and fantasy-wise for Fleury, and 13 games in, it is harder by each game to trust him. His overall effectiveness is well below .900 (.888) and his GAA is a not much better 2.74.

Category: , Game Recaps

Fleury made only 19 saves as opposed to the 49 his counterpart had to make, but eventually it was just enough. He conceded from a scramble a beautiful tick-tack-toe play and an unfortunate bounce off the endboards.

Fantasy Impact: Vegas has been up and down in winning and losing games, and until they can find some collective conistency in their play, one can only guess what results a Golden Knights would bring.

Category: , Game Recaps

Fleury made 20 saves on 23 shots in a game Tampa simply used their chances much more opportunistically than Vegas did.

Fantasy Impact: MAF is still a No 1 goalie who has better times ahead.

Category: , Game Recaps

Fleury was beaten by a deflection and a perfect shot, but made all the 24 saves he faced, only to get beaten by the lone shootout goal coming from Markus Granlund in the fourth round.

Fantasy Impact: Fleury may have overcommitted on the second gola against, but otherwise he did his job, only to let down by the inconsistent offense again.

Category: , Game Recaps

Fleury did not face his tenth shot until the early minutes of the third, and conceded the lone goal on a superb individual effort by the Ducks' Ben Street. Fleury made 17 saves without breaking much sweat and helped bringing back his team to .500.

Fantasy Impact: Keep playing MAF with confidence, especially if the Golden Knights catch fire.

Category: , Game Recaps

Fleury kept his shutout bid alive until the last minute, when Vladimir Sobotka was first to a fat rebound to the slot that skid through the goalie's pads. Fleury was espacially sharp on chances from up close in tight situations.

Fantasy Impact: Apart from the minor disappointment, the result and his play should be encouraging for Fleury and the Golden Knights.

Category: , Game Recaps

Fleaury made 26 saves in a game seemingly destined to go to a scoreless overtime, showing off some spinning saves, athleticism and awareness along the way. He was especially impressive against breakaways.

Fantasy Impact: Fleury, as much as his team needed this boost to cap an otherwise disappointing road trip and head back home with a sense of confidence to build on.

Category: , Game Recaps

Fleury made 24 saves on 28 shots and this time he played pretty well, just simply fell victim of some Kuznetsov magic and a lethal Caps PP. Did not get much assist from his D corpse, suffice to say.

Fantasy Impact: This has not been MAF's season so far, nor has it been how Vegas envisioned to build on last season's Cinderella run. Fleury is 1-3-0 with a subpar .846 SV% and a 3.94 GAA.

Category: , Game Recaps

After rebounding nicely for a game 2 win and a strong effort, Fleury had another night to forget, allowing 4 goals on just 17 shots. Frankly there was not much he could do about any of them as his defense let him down all game long.

Fantasy Impact: This is not the start anyone expected from MAF or the Golden Knights in general, although it is barely the neginning of the season. It remains to be seen how Vegas reacts to early adversity.

Category: , Game Recaps

Just what the doctor ordered for Fleury, who recovered quickly from a dissapointing opening night to propel his team to a tight SO victory on road ice with a 29 save performance and a perfect shootout outing.

Fantasy Impact: Look for Fleury to get the majority of the starts - quality ones - this season as well, albeit in a much tighter Central division and Western Conference.

Category: , Game Recaps

It was supposed to be a glorious home opener for Fleaury after picking up an assist early kicking off Vegas' season, but it went all downhill from there, as he leaked 5 goals on 16 shots after in less than 1 period worth of play.

Fantasy Impact: Despite the early "fumble", expect Fleury to be one of the top goalies in wins, SV% and quite possibly shutouts as well, although the playing field in the Pacific got a lot tougher during the offseason.

Marc-Andre Fleury was placed on the injured reserve list on Sunday because of a concussion sustained in Friday's game against the Red Wings. (Source: NHL.com)

Fantasy Impact: Fleury is expected to miss at least a week. Malcom Suban is currently on first on the Golden Knights' depth chart to replace him, and will likely start tonight's game against the Bruins. Vegas recalled goaltender Maxime Legace from the AHL Chicago Wolves to take Fleury's roster spot.

Neither Fleury, nor Anderson was willing to give up a goal until late into the third period and none of them wanted to be the goat in a sudden death situation. That somewhat turned out to be Anderson as Kessel's quick second attempt beat him low before he could get set, with barely 7 minutes left to play in the game. Pittsburgh secured the shutout for Fleaury after.

Fantasy Impact: It's the second shutout in 3 games for Fleury who needed to be in top of his game amidst the Pens recent scoring woes. They also lost Bryan Rust and Justin Schultz to injuries, none of whom returned to the game.

After losing the last two games with subpar performances, Pittsburgh goalie Marc-Andre Fleury took it upon himself to provide a much better support to his team. The quality improvement in his play resulted in his first playoff shutout this season, stopping all 29 shots he faced.

Fantasy Impact: Fleury provided yet another spark for his team and has a very strong .927 SV% and 2.55 GAA this postseason.

The Flower is blossoming again in Pittsburgh. He stood on his head all game long making saves on second, third and fourth efforts in high pressure situations and he stole the game for Pittsburgh, making 36 saves on 38 shots. The Penguins have been a lethal group of players to begin with, but backstopped with a series of stellar performances of their once unquestionable No.1 goalie, they will be hard to stop fro anyone going forward. He is also doing a huge favor for Pittsburgh by raising his own trade value by the minute.

Fantasy Impact: This has been his best playoff performance in his 11 year postseason career so far with a SV% of 0.935.

Category: , Game Recaps

Fleury faced a high amount of shots again, but the quality just wasn't there and he stopped 34 of 36 in a game where the Penguins offense took the reins and won it emphatically.

Fantasy Impact: His .944 SV% in Game 2 was Fleaury's fifth game in 7 playoff starts, where he saved over 94% of the shots he faced.

Category: , Game Recaps

Fleury had another good game and finished great statistically, however the help he got from teammates - sometimes going as far as Jake Guentzel effectively playing goalie behind a scrambling Fleury - can not be be overstated. It was a hard fought, toughed out road win from the Penguins, adding another chapter to the ongoing Caps-Pens rivalry of the Ovechkin-Crosby era.

Fantasy Impact: Fleury closed out the game with a .943 SV% via 33 saves on 35 shots and now has all 5 wins for Pittsburgh.

Category: , Game Recaps

Fleury did everything in his power to help the Pens finish off the series with 49 saves on 51 shots for a .961 SV% and he got the help from his forwards to complete the feat.

Fantasy Impact: Fleaury recorded all 4 Pittsburgh wins and boasts an impressive .933 SV% with a 2.52 GAA in 5 games.

Category: , Game Recaps

Fleury had his first subpar game in the postseason, but still came out victorious thanks to his and his first line's late effort. He had a game saver in OT on a glorious Dubinsky chance.

Fantasy Impact: Despite this below 0.900 effort, Fleury still has a great 0.945 SV% for a 1.87 GAA.

Category: , Game Recaps

Fleury is the red hot hand now in Pittsburgh and we have seen them riding such a goalie to the Cup just last year. He had to be sharp all gem long as he faced at least 12 shots in each period.

Fantasy Impact: Fleury has now saved 70 of the 72 shots he has faced. The .972 SV% is just behind Jake Allen among goalies having played two games.

Category: , Game Recaps

Fleury got the surprise start over Matt Murray, but proved to be a good choice as the first star of the game. He helped his team survive the 1st period onslaught by the Jackets, and was sharp for the full 60 as Columbus attempted a 3rd period comeback.

Fantasy Impact: Fleury thwarted 31 of 32 attempts for a massive .969 SV% and it will be interesting to see whether the Pens go with the hot hand or decide to rotate their netminders.

Category: , Game Recaps

Fleury stopped 31-of-36 shots during the Penguins 5-1 loss to Chicago.

Fantasy Impact: He is 2-1-2 in his last five games with 13 goals allowed in that span. This season in 37 games, Fleury has a record of 18-9-7 with a 2.99 GAA and a .911 save percentage.

Category: , Game Recaps

Fleury relieved Matt Murray to start the second period and allowed no goals on 28 shots as the Penguins defeated the Sabres 4-3.

Fantasy Impact: With a record of 16-8-0 and a save pct of .908, Fleury has been good but not great as backup to Murray.

Category: , Game Recaps

Fleury was credited with 25 saves but gave up two of three goals in Patrick Kane's hat trick as the Penguins were defeated 4-1 on Wednesday.

Fantasy Impact: Fleury has a positive record (15-8-0) but his save pct has dropped to .906, making him a risky play in fantasy.

Fleury was credited with 44 saves as the Penguins defeated Winnipeg 4-3 on Thursday.

Fantasy Impact: Fleury's performance has been spotty, which is not unusual for a backup goalie.

Fleury was credited with 21 saves as the Penguins lost 4-3 in overtime on Saturday.

Fantasy Impact: Fleury's save pct has slipped to .904, so he is a risky choice in fantasy.

Fleury was credited with 22 saves in the Penguins' 4-1 victory on Saturday.

Fantasy Impact: This was Fleury's first start since Jan. 14. He had a rocky stretch in January, so consider him risky, though his team is hot.

Fleury allowed three goals in the second period and three (unanswered) in the third, for a 6-3 loss to the Detroit Red Wings. He was credited with 28 saves.

Fantasy Impact: In his previous outing, Fleury allowed four goals. His record is 13-7-0, but the Penguins have now lost three straight games.

Marc-Andre Fleury stopped all 19 shots he faced after replacing an injured Matt Murray to collect the win against Carolina on Wednesday.

Fantasy Impact: It's unclear how long Murray will be out, if at all, and that will certainly impact Andre-Fleury's fantasy outlook. The veteran has been better of late, and considering the offensive support he would figure to receive he would be a good candidate for wins in place of an injured Murray.

Category: , Game Recaps

Marc-Andre Fleury was pulled from Monday's start after allowing four goals in less than 30 minutes.

Fantasy Impact: Fleury had been given the nod again over Matt Murray, but he was outplayed by the younger goaltender Monday. It looks like the team will continue to ride the hot hand, and that certainly isn't Fleury after Monday's performance.

Category: , Game Recaps

Marc-Andre Fleury entered Wednesday's loss to the Capitals after an injury to Matt Murray and proceeded to allow five goals on 25 shot attempts, good for only an .800 save percentage.

Fantasy Impact: Something is clearly wrong with Fleury, who's now moved into a reserve role with the team. Murray, who's passed concussion protocol, could be ready to go as soon as Friday. Fleury has only started two of the last seven starts given his awful start.

Marc-Andre Fleury stopped 24 of 27 shots in Thursday's 3-2 loss to the L.A. Kings.

Fantasy Impact: Fleury's record now stands at 6-2-2 to go along with a 3.07 GAA and .908 SV%. These numbers are a bit higher than normal for Fleury, who might be feeling the pressures of Matt Murray behind him, who returned from the IR on Wednesday.

Marc-Andre Fleury set aside 32 of 34 shots in Thursday's 3-2 win over the Sharks. Through five starts Fleury owns a 2.76 GAA and .920 SV%.

Marc-Andre Fleury earns second win

Sun, Oct 16th 10:20am EDT
By Roy Widrig

Marc-Andre Fleury allowed two goals on 36 shots in his second win of the season Saturday, defeating the Ducks 3-2.

Fantasy Impact: A 1.92 GAA to start the season is exactly what Fleury needed. He is a much better goaltender than he has received credit for over his career, posting a 2.56 GAA over 12+ seasons.

Marc-Andre Fleury turned away 39 of 41 shots in a 3-2 win over the Capitals on Thursday night.

Fantasy Impact: Fleury was a value goalie pick in this year's drafts after backup G Matt Murray broke his hand in the preseason. Murray seemed to have an edge over Fleury coming out of last season's playoffs, but for right now the guy in Pittsburgh is Fleury.

Fleury saved 21 of the 25 shots he faced in the Game 5 4-3 overtime loss that has Pittsburgh one loss away from elimination.

Fantasy Impact: This was unlikely to be the outing the Penguins were hoping for as the Penguins spotted him leads that he gave up. If he starts Game 6, we will be looking for a sharper performance.

Fleury saved all seven shots he faced in relief.

Fantasy Impact: Fleury was the starting goalie for most of the season so we need to keep an eye out to see whether he regains the role now. If he is the starter for Game 5, then it is reasonable to start him if you wish.

Fleury stopped 27 of the 28 shots he faced on Thursday against the Rangers, carrying the Penguins to a 4-1 victory.

Fleury stopped 24-of-29 shots in the Penguins 5-1 loss to Boston.

Fleury stopped all 22 shots in the Penguins 5-0 win against Carolina.

Fleury returned from a concussion after a two and a half week absence and managed 38 saves on 40 shots against the Islanders. He was able to collect his 14th win of the season in a 5-2 Penguins victory.

Fantasy Impact: If this game is any indication, Fleury won't show much rust in returning to game action. With that said, you can be confident returning him to your lineups.

Marc-Andre Fleury has been placed in the league's concussion protocol and is out indefinitely. He told the team he wasn't feeling well after Monday's game. Jeff Zatkoff will start in his place Wednesday. (Source: ESPN)

Fantasy Impact: This is a tough loss for owners, who can only hope that Fleury won't be sidelined for an extended stretch. There's now also the worry of re-injury upon his return considering the nature of the game. Zatkoff has been decent in place of Fleury this season, and it will be interesting to see what he does with potentially more consistent playing time.

Fleury managed 38 saves on 40 shots though he could not earn the victory as the Penguins lost 3-2 in a shootout to the Kings.

Fantasy Impact: Fleury has been excellent in most games this season and is a top-five fantasy option to this point in the season. His consistency has improved greatly this season, vaulting his fantasy value. Start him with confidence.

Despite a 23-save performance, Marc-Andre Fleury took his ninth loss of the season, 2-1, to the Anaheim Ducks on Sunday. (Source: NHL.com)

Fantasy Impact: His nine losses the second lowest in the league, while his 615 saves so far this season currently ranks fifth. Owners should not let these past two days sway them into removing Fleury from the lineup, a two-day break should be good for the Penguins' netminder.

Fantasy Impact: Fleury's season long numbers are impressive, but he has taken a hit in his past five games. His save percentage is only .902 over that span and he has recorded three wins. Still, Fleury is a solid option for fantasy purposes as he has had a very solid start to the season.

Fleury recorded 38 saves on 39 shots, and was rewarded with a win against the Predators.

Fantasy Impact: Fleury has been very good between the pipes for the Penguins to start the year. He and Ryan Miller are the only two goalies in the league to start all eight of their team's games to this point in the season, showing the Penguins are going to count on Fleury regularly. If his strong start to the season is any indication, that will be great news for his fantasy value.

Fantasy Impact: Fleury had a very strong start to the season prior to this game. He has struggled with inconsistency in the past, and this game shows he will likely continue to do so. Still, Fleury will be a strong fantasy asset so there is no need to panic.
