After some speculation on whether or not he would start, Patrice Bergeron performed admirably in Game 3 with a goal and two assists.

Fantasy Impact: It was only a matter of time before Boston's top line got going in the Finals. Bergeron accounted for three out of the five points produced by the big three Saturday. He and his teammates will look to take a commanding 3-1 series lead with a win in Game 4 this Monday night at St. Louis.

Fantasy Impact: Bergeron has been relatively quiet during the first two games of the Finals with zero points so far. While the St. Louis defense has done a good job keeping him in check, it is only a matter of time before he breaks out in a big way for Boston.

 

Patrice Bergeron helped out in a major way Thursday night by burying a pair of goals, and assisting on Brad Marchand's goal late in the third period of Game Four.

Fantasy Impact: Bergeron is having a fantastic post-season as he has scored eight goals, and five assists in 17 games played. He will look to lead Boston back to the promise land for the first time since 2011 as they await to face the winner of the St. Louis/San Jose series out West.

Nevertheless, Bergeron’s goal Thursday proved timely, and his contributions typically go far beyond the box score, as he possesses one of the most polished two-way games in the NHL.

Fantasy Impact: The decision to reunite the first line of Bergeron, Brad Marchand, and David Pastrnak paid quick dividends for the Bruins, with the trio combining for five points and 15 shots-on-goal for the evening. As a team, Boston peppered Columbus goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky to the tune of a whopping 46 shots. Bergeron and company will need to continue generating high-volume shot totals against a locked-in Bobrovsky in Game 5.

Fantasy Impact: Bergeron just barely snuck this one in before time expired. The perennial Selke nominee closes the series with three goals, two assists, and five total points and remains one of the most underrated players in hockey. Though Bergeron’s 79 points in 2018-2019 marked a new career high, the two-way forward’s career contributions tend to have a more sizable impact in real life versus fantasy. Nevertheless, it is plausible we see a continuation of Bergeron’s offensive renaissance next season.

Fantasy Impact: Bergeron has not recorded a point in the Bruins' last three games and he has only one point (one goal) on the season. With his talent, it is unlikely this drought will continue, though it is still worth noting and a troubling start to the season.

Patrice Bergeron scored his 18th goal of the season in Tuesday's 4-1 win over the Canadiens. He added a plus-two rating with five shots on goal.

Fantasy Impact: Bergeron now has three points in his last two games after scoring two goals on Saturday. He had slowed down a bit in January after another productive month in December, so owners will hope that the recent hot stretch is a sign that he's turning things around.
