Fantasy Impact: Rinne looked good saving 29 shots out of 31, but the Predators offense couldn't produce. The Preds continue to struggle on the road as they drop their ninth straight away from home. Fantasy Impact: Pekka Rinne is 14-5-1 with a 1.96 goals against average and a .929 save percentage through 22 games played this season. Rinne is an elite goaltender in terms of fantasy and plays on a team that is extremely strong defensively and is a good bet to be in line for a win on most nights.

Pekka Rinne earned a shutout against a strong Boston team. Pekka Rinne now has stopped his last 68 of 69 shots faced.

Fantasy Impact: Rinne has been flawless in his appearances since returning from the IR. While healthy Pekka Rinne is a top five fantasy goaltender, because of the outstanding defense in front of him and posting statistics worthy to win a back to back Vezina trophy. The question is still health with the 36 year old goaltender.

Start him with confidence but continue to closely monitor his health and practices.

Pekka Rinne stopped all twenty-nine shots on goal in Thursday's win over the Jets.

Fantasy Impact: Rinne showed that he is, in fact, one of the top goal tenders in fantasy hockey and the NHL on Thursday night. He shut down the Jets' offense and was backed up by his own. Rinne needs to be started by fantasy owners every time he is between the pipes.

Pekka Rinne allowed three goals on twenty-seven shots in the loss to the Flames on Tuesday evening.

Fantasy Impact: This wasn't the best game for Rinne, who allowed three goals. The well placed goals made it hard for the Predators to come back. This loss made Rinne's record 1-1, which shouldn't hurt his fantasy value as he's still considered one of the top goal tenders.

Pekka Rinne stopped 38-of-41 shots-faced during Monday's 6-3 victory over the Anaheim Ducks in game-six of the Western Conference Finals. The Nashville Predators clinched the best-of-seven-game series and advanced to the Stanley Cup Finals for the first time in franchise history.

Fantasy Impact: To put things in proper perspective, at the end of three periods Anaheim had 41 shots-on-goal with three goals to show for it. Nashville, on the other hand, was credited with 18 shots-on-goal and six goals. Rinne has truly embodied his "Great Wall of Finland" moniker by improving and showing stout confidence in each round of the 2017 Stanley Cup Playoffs. The Nashville net-minder has been with no other team in the NHL since he was drafted by the Predators with the 258th overall pick in 2004. For the 2016-17 playoffs: Rinne holds a 12-4 record, a 1.70 goals-against-average, and a .941 save-percentage. Of 474 total shots-against, Rinne has made 446 saves, allowing a minuscule 28 goals through 16 playoff games thus far.

Pekka Rinne stopped 23-of-24 shots-faced during Sunday's 3-1 victory over the Saint Louis Blues as the Nashville Predators advance to the Western Conference Finals.

Fantasy Impact: There were signs for concern early in this one as Rinne allowed a Paul Stastny goal at the 2:04 mark of the 1st period to give Saint Louis the early 1-0 advantage. The goal wasn't entirely on Rinne as the Predators defense came out of the gate slow to react, almost identical to their performance in Saint Louis for game-five. Regardless of the situation, Rinne and company quickly regrouped during the first period intermission and stalled the Blues momentum to start the second period, which resulted in a Roman Josi goal before a minute had passed. The "Great Wall of Finland" remained stalwart in the third period, making use of the glove and the pad often while reacting instinctively. Its the first Western Conference Finals appearance in franchise history for the Predators, and their playoff home-ice win streak extends to nine games. On the series Rinne averaged a .929 save-percentage to go along with a 1.83 goals-against-average and a 4-2 record. He will need to remain on the same level or better as the Predators enter uncharted territory for the franchise in the Western Conference Finals.

Pekka Rinne stopped 30-of-32 shots-faced during Friday's 2-1 defeat to the Saint Louis Blues in game-five.

Fantasy Impact: Rinne ended the evening with two goals-allowed and a respectable .938 save-percentage. The elite defensive lines of Nashville did not play up to their reputation, as on both goals Saint Louis was able to slip a forward directly in front of the crease. The first of which occasions happened as Blues right wing Dmitrij Jaskin cycled after a face-off in Nashville's end and netted a rebound goal from the side slot. The second goal, scored by Blues left wing Jaden Schwartz, left Rinne visibly upset as another rebound effort was netted while Nashville's defense was slow to react. With that being said, Rinne did not let his frustrations effect his performance, as he made a remarkable pad save late in the third period during a Blues three-on-one offensive rush. Rinne now has a .923 save-percentage to go along with a 2.00 goals-against-average during the series with Saint Louis. He will undoubtedly start game-six, barring a setback, on Sunday night in Nashville. The Predators still hold a 3-2 series advantage over Saint Louis.

Pekka Rinne stopped 32-of-33 shots-faced during Tuesday's 2-1 victory over the Saint Louis Blues.

Fantasy Impact: From the opening face-off the Saint Louis Blues took the initiative on offense, mainly by keeping the puck in Nashville's end and firing multiple shots-on-net. Rinne denied each opportunity with glove saves and hardly looked concerned. He was comfortable and confident in the crease, keeping up with the puck and not distracted easily by bodies in front. The "Great Wall of Finland" was the MVP of game-four, and it was not due to any lack of effort by the Blues' offense. Rinne finished his night with a .970 save-percentage, allowing just one goal on 33 shots.

Pekka Rinne has been tapped to start game-four for the Nashville Predators per Robby Stanley of NHL.com. (Source: NHL.com)

Fantasy Impact: Rinne allowed three goals in the first two games of the series, but put on an impressive performance in game-three with a .957 save-percentage while allowing just one goal on 23 shots-faced. The Nashville Predators will be looking to take full advantage of their fans on home ice, as the Predators have not lost a playoff game at home since the first round of the 2016 Stanley Cup Playoffs. With Subban, Ellis, and Josi playing at a more consistent and elite level, Rinne should be in for another dialed-in performance tonight.

Pekka Rinne stopped 22-of-23 shots faced during Sunday's 3-1 victory over the Saint Louis Blues.

Fantasy Impact: It was Rinne's best save-percentage of the series at .957. Rinne has some bad nights, game-two for example, when he allowed three goals on just 20 shots. With that being said, Rinne typically bounces back and proves why he belongs in the conversation as one of the elite goaltenders of the National Hockey League when he is in the zone. As long as Rinne continues to put on performances like Sunday, the Predators are going to advance to the Western Conference Finals. Nashville now has a 2-1 series lead over Saint Louis.

Rinne put on another stellar show closing the door with 30 saves this time. He shut out the Blackhawks in Game 1 as well. The add insult to injury, he recorded not one, but two assists on the night. The Preds arrive home with the tables completely turned and they have a good chance to put a stranglehold on the series in Game 3 in Nashville.

Fantasy Impact: In an interesting spin, Pekka Rinne alone has more points in the series than the complete Chicago lineup together. Yes, you read that right.

Pekka Rinne stopped all 29 shots faced during Thursday's 1-0 victory over the Chicago Blackhawks.

Fantasy Impact: Rinne was in the zone from the opening face off, reacting quickly with confidence. The Predators defense and control of the tempo certainly helped things for their goaltender, but Rinne made some remarkable saves against Chicago's arguably most dangerous lines in the NHL right now. Nashville went to Chicago and shut the Blackhawks out, it will be interesting to see Chicago's response in game 2.

He now has a 22-15-6 record with a 2.43 goals-against-average and a .918 save percentage on the season.

Pekka Rinne stopped 18 of 21 shots during Sunday's 5-3 victory over the Dallas Stars.

Fantasy Impact: To Rinne's credit, all three goals scored by Dallas came during a power-play. The .857 save percentage does not look good on the box score, but Rinne and the Predators will certainly take the win. Rinne's record improves to 22-14-6 to go along with a 2.39 goals-against-average and a .920 save percentage on the season.

Rinne now holds a 21-14-6 record with a 2.37 goals-against-average and a .921 save percentage on the season. He is still a solid start at goalie and should bounce back against Dallas Sunday.

Rinne will receive a loss on his record but finished the evening with a solid .947 save percentage. He now holds a 20-14-6 record with a 2.31 goals-against-average and a .922 save percentage. Even when Rinne earns a loss he still puts on quality performances and should be started by his fantasy owners.

Amazingly, Pekka Rinne is 7-0-0 against the Oilers in his career. After he started out the season shaky, the pressure of Juuse Saros taking over has caused Rinne to get back to playing at an elite level. Rinne now holds a 17-12-2 record with a 2.35 goals against average and a .921 save percentage. He should be locked into fantasy line-ups when he is starting.

Pekka Rinne finished with 22 saves and three goals allowed in a 3-2 loss to Colorado.

Fantasy Impact: Rinne hasn't looked like himself lately, and it's becoming a big cause for concern. Pekka has been a streaky type of player in his past, but it's hard to find a bad streak as long as the one he is currently experiencing. To start the season he looked like the All-Star caliber player we have grown accustom to seeing. Lately he has been at the bottom of the league in most categories.

Fantasy wise the win saved what was a bad game for Pekka, but it's encouraging to see even on an off night for Rinne his team is capable of having his back. Expect a much better performance in Toronto on Thursday.

He will undoubtedly continue to get a lot of work as the mainstay in goal for the Preds. Look for him to vs bounce back in his next outing.

Predators goalie Pekka Rinne finished with 25 saves and only one goal allowed in a 2-1 win over the Hurricanes in the season opener in Nashville.

Fantasy Impact: Rinne has been one of the top goalies in the NHL throughout his career when healthy. This season is especially exciting for Rinne owners considering the defensive talent on the Preds. Shea Weber and Roman Josi are likely the top pair in the league, and the young Seth Jones may be primed for a breakout season in his third year. If Rinne can stay healthy this season you can expect him to win many games with Nashville. He is a must start every game he plays.
