Fantasy Impact: Hainsey's fantasy relevance is far from noteworthy heading into the 2017-18 season, but given the numbers the Maple Leafs have accrued thus far, crazier things have happened.

Hurricanes D Ron Hainsey scored two goals in Saturday's 5-4 win over the Islanders, including the game winner. The two goals doubled his total for the entire season.

Fantasy Impact: Hainsey has been virtually non-existent in the fantasy hockey defense ranks since about 2009-2010, so it's great to see him contributing again.
