The defender added his first point on the second goal of a two score second period to Travis Boyd to put the team up 2-1. Michael Carcone got the first goal on an assist by Anton Stralman. The Blackhawks tied it up with a Patrick Kane power-play goal in the third and sent it to overtime. Gostisbehere closed the game out before it got to shootout play though, adding a score with just 0:15 left in overtime, thanks to assists by Phil Kessel and Nick Schmaltz, giving the Coyotes the 3-2 victory.
