Thomas Greiss stopped 43-of-46 shots during a 7-3 win versus Dallas.
Greiss has struggled for most of the year with Detroit but has played better recently. Overall he has a 6-15-7 record, but three of his wins have come in his last five games with 10 goals allowed in that span, three of those appearances were starts.
Thomas Greiss stopped 36-of-37 shots during the Red Wings' 4-1 win versus Florida.
It was the first win of the season for Greiss, who now has a record of 1-7-2 record in 10 games played. He has played well, but the wins will be hard to come by for the struggling Red Wings who have just won their first game in their last nine tries (1-6-2).
Thomas Greiss allowed three goals while facing 27 shots during the Red Wings 4-1 loss to Chicago.
He is off to an 0-3 start with the Red Wings but has played fairly well allowing just a total of eight goals in his three starts. He likely will face a lot more rubber in 2021 behind the Red Wings as compared to last season with a stingy New York Islanders team where he went 16-9-4 in 31 games played with a 2.74 GAA and a .913 SV%.
Thomas Greiss got the start against Montreal on Tuesday night, but after giving up three goals on 12 shots he was pulled after the first period.
Thomas Greiss has clearly fallen behind Semyon Varlamov in goal for the Islanders and performances like this will not help his cause. Unless there is an injury to Varlamov, Greiss should not be on your fantasy radar.
Thomas Greiss made 26 saves on 29 shots in the Islanders 5-3 win over the Washington Capitals on Monday night.
Since January first Thomas Greiss is yet to suffer a loss in regulation and has earned the win in five of his seven starts. During the same time Semyon Varlamov only has two wins in his nine starts. Greiss is clearly the better goalie for the Islanders right now.
