Next Game
Eligibility
Tyler Bertuzzi (upper-body) is set to return to the lineup Tuesday according to Red Wings head coach Derek Lalonde.
Fantasy Impact
Bertuzzi has struggled with injuries over the past year for the Red Wings and provides an immediate boost when in the lineup for Detroit. The dynamic forward will slot onto the club’s top line alongside captain Dylan Larkin and should make an instant impact for fantasy owners.
Tyler Bertuzzi notched the lone-goal for the Red Wings as they fell 4-1 to the Ottawa Senators. He finished the game with a goal, a minus-4 rating, one shot and three hits.
Fantasy Impact
The goal was on the powerplay and came after Moritz Seider fired a shot wide (which was arguably a pass) that banked off the back-boards right on Bertuzzi's stick. He promptly fired and sent it over the line for his 27th goal of the year.
Due to the border rules that the Government of Canada still has in place, he will not be allowed to play in the Great White North.
Fantasy Impact
Prepare accordingly if he's an active member on your roster and double check to see if you can place him on IR/IR+ the day of, and get somebody off the waiver wire. Depending on when he gets tagged, it will require some line juggling.
Tyler Bertuzzi assisted on both of teammate Jakub Vrana's goals while adding an empty net goal and four shots in Detroit's 6-3 win over Philadelphia.
Fantasy Impact
Bertuzzi has eight points in his last seven games bringing him up to 52 points in 52 games played this season. He has surpassed his previous career high in points(48) and tied in assists(27), both set in his 19-20' season.
Tyler Bertuzzi will remain away from the team due to the imposed border-restrictions by the Canadian government regarding Covid-19. Detroit takes on Vancouver on the 17th then travel to Seattle on the 19th where he will rejoin the Red Wings.
