Motte got the goal just eleven seconds into play, the fastest goal of the year, and also added his seventh assist. The Canucks fell behind 2-1 by the end of the first period of play, but Travis Hamonic and Vasily Podkolzin picked up a goal a piece to give the team a 3-2 advantage heading into the third. They eventually pulled away with a quick third period goal and closed things out with an empty-netter to make it 5-2.
The goal put the defenseman at eight on the season and also notched him his 200th career point. He quickly picked up 201 with an assist in the second period. Motte added a block and came out in the positive in this one.
Tyler Motte scored the second Vancouver goal of the game. It put them up 2-1. It was his fifth goal of the season.
He has simply not been much of a fantasy option for a center yet in his young NHL career with 14 points in 79 games.
