Tyler Myers scored his first goal of the season late in the first period during the Canucks' 5-2 win over the Rangers.
The veteran defenseman has been doing plenty of contributing with 101 hits and 111 blocked shots. His offensive stats do remain under his regular career numbers, but fantasy managers should see any tallies in this realm as a bonus.
Tyler Myers registered two assists in Monday's 4-3 loss to the Calgary Flames.
Myers' first point came on the Canucks opening goal, which was scored by Tanner Pearson on the power play. His second came on a Brock Boeser goal to tie the game up in the third period with under 30 seconds remaining. Myers now has nine points on the season.

He does have two goals in his last five games with 12 shots on goal in that span. This season in 54 games played, Myers has six goals and 11 assists with a minus-one rating.
Winnipeg Jets defenseman Tyler Myers has signed with the Vancouver Canucks Monday for five years worth $30 million.
In six seasons with the Jets, Myers has scored 45 goals and 151 points through 365 games played. He will add a much needed physical presence to a young Vancouver blue line this year.
Tyler Myers scored the game-winning-goal for the Jets in their 3-2 win over the Kings on Monday. He was a plus one with one goal on four SOG in 23:55 of ice-time.
Myers is currently sitting at nine goals this season. He has not reached double digit goals since the 2010-2011 season. This is not a breakout it has more to do with blue-line injuries than a new skill set. He is worth owning down the home stretch if defense is a team need.
