Rory McIlroy finished in a share of sixth place after posting a two-under 69 in the final round of the Northern Trust.

McIlroy put together seven birdies on Sunday, but five bogeys were too much to overcome. He ranked 46th in SG: Approach and T60 in GIR's, which put him in a lot of precarious positions. McIlroy now has 13 top-10 finishes in 17 PGA Tour starts this season. He will try to overtake Brooks Koepka as the FedExCup point leader at the BMW Championship next week.
