Joohyung Kim fired rounds of 67-64-68-61 en route to a final score of 20-under-par to win his first PGA Tour event at the 2022 Wyndham Championship.
Kim began his weekend with a quadruple bogey at +4 but he dominated every hole afterward. "Tom" Kim was objectively the best player with his irons off-the-tee, tee-to-green, and approaching the green. His putter was just as confident, sinking six birdies and an eagle on the front nine during Sunday's final round. It was a clutch win for Kim, who started his PGA season late, meaning the victory was the only way to earn a bid to the FedExCup playoffs at TPC Southwind this upcoming weekend. He's currently ranked 35th in the FedExCup and has three T10 finishes and a win in only nine events.
