Week 16 Contest: The “Beat The Experts” Championship

Congrats to the 839 of you that have beat our Featured Pro in one of the past five weeks. This is a feat that only 18.6% have accomplished so far (which means kudos are in order for our experts too). For our final contest of 2010, we’re going bigger but more exclusive by doubling the prize pool and capping the number of entries.

In other words, similar to the fantasy playoffs, a smaller number of you stand to win significantly more. Our guaranteed minimum prize pool is now $1,000, we have four Featured Pros, and we’re only allowing 220 entries. Bigger but more exclusive…exactly what a championship ought to be! Read on for more details…

To limit the number of contestants, we’re capping the number of entries to 220 and requiring a $5 buy-in to play. Those of you that have beaten the expert in the past can roll your $5 winnings into this Championship. For those of you that wish to deposit for the first time, FanDuel is offering a sign up bonus (more details can be found during the registration process).

Our Week 16 contest features four experts for you to compete against: John Paulsen from The Scores Report, Andy Behrens from Yahoo! Sports, and David Dodds and Sigmund Bloom from FootballGuys. Beat all four and you’ll win $20. Finish in the top 10 and you’ll get a share of the $1,000 Prize Pool.

Do you think you have what it takes to bring down all four experts? Or better yet, finish in the top 10 among all contestants? Here’s your final chance to prove it this year. Pick your championship lineup now (it’s first come first serve, so I’d recommend signing up now and editing your team later, if necessary).

Also, for fun, let us know who you think the top expert will be in this contest. We’re so used to seeing the consensus start/sit picks from the experts, let’s see if the FantasyPros member consensus can pick the right expert!

Which expert do you think will perform the best in our Week 16 FanDuel Contest?

If you decide to play in our championship, good luck. Either way, stay tuned next week for our announcement of the Most Accurate Fantasy Football Expert of 2010. You can view our current standings to see who the contenders are.

Thanks for participating and Happy Holidays!

PS: Please note that capping the number of contestants means you have a better chance at winning a piece of the prize pool. As a reference point, the average number of contestants in our previous contests was over 900, and we’re limiting this Championship to a maximum of 220 entries. Also, the prize pool is guaranteed, so we’ll be giving out a minimum of $1,000 no matter how many entries we get…even if we only get 1 entry!
