Week 10′s Most Accurate Experts
Week 10 will certainly go down as one of the toughest slate of games in recent memory when it comes to QB injuries. Simply put, whenever Jason Campbell and Byron Leftwich receive prominent playing time that occurs A) during the same week, B) outside of garbage time & C) in a year not named 2006, there’s a solid chance significant injury forces are at play. Add in injuries that knocked out QBs in Philadelphia & San Francisco and you have the makings of a brutal week for signal callers.
Of course, as a fantasy owner, it’s never easy to account for potential injuries. The same is true for fantasy experts playing the prognostication game. Predictions are predictions, though, and there are no do-overs when unforeseen circumstances arise. While it may seem difficult, the best bet is to pick up the slack in other areas.
With this in mind, let’s see who navigated the week 10 landscape to come through with the best advice for fantasy owners.

Congrats to this week’s accuracy champ, C.D. Carter (NFL Jerks). Carter delivered consistent advice across the positions we track to earn the week 10 crown. One of his best decisions was ranking arguably the week’s top surprise – Danario Alexander – a full 13 spots (WR #36) ahead of the expert consensus. That advice served as a recommendation to consider Alexander for Flex purposes, which we can only hope readers listened to. Carter also had a nice call when it came to one of the week’s surprise TEs. His ranking (TE #6) for Greg Olsen was the highest of all 100+ experts we monitored. The elevated hopes for Olsen served as a boon for fantasy owners who took note as the Carolina TE turned in his best performance of the season (100+ yards receiving, 2 TDs). Another good read of Carter’s came from his ranking (QB #7) for this year’s resident garbage time stud, Carson Palmer. Regardless of how Palmer gets his stats (usually with the Raiders getting mauled), he continues to produce (368 yards passing, 2 TDs last week). No one had Palmer ranked higher in week 10 than C.D. Carter and he was one of only 8 experts to have the Raiders’ signal caller as a top 10 QB.

If you’ve been following our year-to-date standings, you’ll notice that there’s been a bit of a shakeup near the top of the standings this week. No, there isn’t any movement at the #1 spot where Jody Smith (Gridiron Experts) is turning into an immovable force (5 straight weeks at #1). However, the Sablich Brothers (The New York Times) have jumped up to the #2 position on the strength of another excellent showing in week 10. Of course, doing well in this competition is something the Sablichs are growing accustomed to. Not only have they been in the top 10 for the past 6 weeks, the Bros were also top 5 performers last season. Considering that many siblings can’t even agree on the time of day, this is no doubt an impressive feat of compromise and family unity (or something like that). All in the name of fantasy football.
That wraps up our accuracy recap for this week. We’ll be back again after the games next weekend to provide another update on which experts are making the most accurate predictions. In the meantime, best of luck to everyone in your upcoming fantasy matchups!
