“Don't let Longoria's minor ankel surgery scare you away. But if it scares somebody else away, make them pay for it. Longoria's power will always be around, and his AVG should bounce back, as long as his .239 BABIP restores itself to his career average (.301).”

“Longoria was close to being #1, but he always seems to have some sort of nagging injury ,and his offseason foot surgery doesn't give me any reason to believe any different heading into 2012. Regardless, he is young (26), and the .244 average from 2011 was a complete outlier. This guy is a .290 hitter. If he stays healthy, he will hit 30 homers and drive in 100. I'd look for a bounce back season as he enters his prime as a hitter, and looks to avenge the pain he put his owners through a year ago...if 31 homers and 99 RBIs can be considered pain.”

“Longoria was MVP hot at one point in the season. He finished with 31 HRs, and 99 RBIs, in 133 games. He is supposed to be one of the best hitters in baseball. There is no reason to believe this will not be the year he continues to step forward. The .243 Batting Average was a fluke, he rarely struck out, just got unlucky. ”
