“First Jose blew up with 54 HRs. Then the following season for an encore he hit over .300 while proving the power was no fluke with 43 bombs. Do we expect something in the middle between the two? I do. I think Jose is one of the most confident hitters in baseball and the surge will continue, 45 Bombs with double digit steals. ”

“In 2010 I thought this guy was a fluke. I actually picked him up, couldn't deal with his low BA, and dropped him. That was in May. 54 homers later, it looks like an epic fail. In 2011, I thought there is no way he comes close to that. Well, he actually hit less homers, but became a better hitter, finishing with a .302 avg. I don't see why in 2012 there is any reason not to believe he is in for another 40 homer season, with a .280 avg. Pencil in 100 RBI, 100 Runs and that's one heck of a season from a thin 3B position.”

“Led the AL with a .608 slugging percentage and 132 walks. Tail off in the 2nd half of the season. Struggled with several nagging injuries. Two years in a row of 40 home runs makes him legit. Only 12 homers and slugging % .477 after the break. ”
