Los Angeles Clippers are interested in Adreian Payne

The Los Angeles Clippers have expressed interest in Minnesota Timberwolves power forward Adreian Payne. Late Timberwolves coach/general manager Flip Saunders traded for Payne in February 2015 in exchange for a protected first round pick. Payne has shown flashes of star prowess but has failed to find a role on the floor for the Wolves. He was assigned to a brief stint in the NBA D-league in January before being recalled to the Wolves this month. (Darren Wolfson)

Fantasy Impact:

Payne has averaged 2.7 points per game in 9.4 minutes per game in 33 appearances this season. A trade to the Clippers could mean more playing time for Payne as Blake Griffin's future in LA grows increasingly uncertain. Payne's best game of his career came against the Clippers in March 2015 while starting in place of Kevin Garnett, in which he notched a double-double with 16 points and 15 rebounds.
