If you’re reading this, then you are probably hoping for some flex advice. The idea behind this article is to make those tricky flex debates a little easier. A flex player is a player not in the top 60 players according to FantasyPros Flex Week 9 Rankings in half-point PPR leagues as of Wednesday.
I decided to go with the no players in the top 60 to target 12-team leagues that start two running backs and three wide receivers (5 players x 12 teams = 60 players). The players below will only be running backs or wide receivers since these are the two most common positions that fill the flex spot. If you don’t have any of the players below or are facing your own flex lineup decisions and need some help, then ask me on Twitter @mitchellrenz365.

Marshawn Lynch (RB – OAK) @MIA
If both of Lynch backups wouldn’t have fumbled last week I would say he might be in trouble of losing more work, but they weren’t reliable. Lynch at least doesn’t fumble and in a game against a bad Dolphins team, that’s all Lynch needs to do. The Dolphins have the worst offense in the league and just gave up their best offensive option in Jay Ajayi. I expect a positive game flow for Lynch and at the flex position, he is a solid start.
Paul Richardson (WR – SEA) vs. WAS
Six catches for 105 yards and two touchdowns for Richardson last week and the week before that he had over 60 yards and a touchdown. He is starting to turn into a reliable option for Wilson who starts to play better the second half of the year. I don’t think Richardson will get Josh Norman which means Wilson will be looking for him again this game.
Alfred Morris (RB – DAL) vs. KC
Go with the running back who will get the most work on the Cowboys. Ezekiel Elliott is suspended which means more work for Morris. Morris is averaging 8.1 yards per carry this season. Sure that is skewed by a long 70-yard run, but it’s fun to write. If they want to win this game, the Cowboys need to keep their defense off the field and slow this game up at home with Morris.
Nelson Agholor (WR-PHI) vs. DEN
This isn’t an easy matchup but Agholor the last four weeks has been a top 10 wide receiver in fantasy football and before last week scored a touchdown in three straight games. He is currently catching over 70 percent of passes thrown his way. With a player who has been as solid as Agholor this season, playing him as a flex is a smart choice.
Kenyan Drake (RB – MIA) vs. OAK
The new starting running back or the more talented running back for the Dolphins now that Ajayi is gone. The Raiders have given up the third most rushing yards in the NFL with 901 yards, and I have to believe the Dolphins gave up Ajayi for only a fourth rounder because they believe in Drake. If not I’m not sure what to think. If you have Drake in a week filled with byes that is a risk you should be willing to make.
Hopefully, these players allow you to flex your fantasy flex muscles and bring you to a victory like JuJu Smith-Schuster did last week for me in Week 8 Favorites. I am confident that these flex players will bring you a win.
