Big slate of games on a sports-packed Saturday, as 16 NBA teams are in action with the first games starting at 3:30 PM E.T. time. There aren’t too many injuries big-name stars for Saturday but the two most notable would be Karl Anthony-Towns who is a GTD with an ankle injury and Devin Booker who is also a GTD with a minor back injury.
The salary is set at $60k per usual but my lineup had about $200 left.
The most notable player that was left out of my lineup was Russell Westbrook (OKC): $12,400 vs SA. Westbrook gets the Spurs once again after scoring 78.6 fantasy points against them on Thursday. Westbrook is an obvious choice to include in lineups but I wanted to give some lower cost options at the point guard spot for tonight.

Point Guard
Derrick Rose (MIN): $6,500 vs NO
Rose returned after a six-game absence on Friday night against the Mavericks and finished the game with 33.1 fantasy points which falls in line with his 30.8 average per game on the year. Some people might look at this matchup and think that Rose would be unplayable given that Jrue Holiday is expected to cover him for most of the night but Rose has been far too consistent on the year to not be matchup proof. Rose is averaging 19 points, five assists, and three rebounds on the year so insert him into your lineup and enjoy the rewards!

Derrick White (SA): $5,600 @ OKC
I promise this is the last “Derrick” in my lineups! White has been the surprise of the week thus far as he exploded onto the scene in a primetime matchup against Russell Westbrook and Thunder on Thursday night as he finished with a career-high 48 fantasy points. White has been given the keys to the point guard position for the Spurs as of late and has made the most of it as he’s averaged 28.8 fantasy points per game over his last four games. White comes in cheaper than most point guard options and gives a nice floor of at least 20 fantasy points.
Shooting Guard
Donovan Mitchell (UTA): $8,100 vs CHI
Mitchell might be my stud of the night for Saturday night as he draws a really favorable matchup against the Bulls. Mitchell will also have complete control of the Utah offense as all three of Utah’s point guards are sitting out for this one with injuries. Mitchell was essentially the point guard on Friday night against the Lakers and he finished with 57.3 fantasy points. Mitchell has also been on a tear over his last four games as he’s had three games with 40+ fantasy points. Mitchell should be a lock in most lineups tonight.
Bogdan Bogdanovic (SAC): $6,300 vs CHA
Bogdanovic is surprisingly much more expensive than I expected but the shooting guard position wasn’t dense with options for Saturday night. Bogdanovic comes in with a decent salary and is giving players 27 fantasy points per game on the year. He draws a Hornets team that can’t play any defense so expect this one to either be a Kings blowout or a shootout which both bode well for Bogdanovic.
Small Forward
Paul George (OKC): $9,700 vs SA
George was the most expensive player included in my lineup for Saturday night but that comes with good reason. George has been a staple in most of my FanDuel lineups all year as he’s playing at an MVP level at the moment. George draws the Spurs again whom he torched for 30 points on Thursday night. George is having a resurrecting year after somewhat of a disappointment for his standards in 2017-2018 as he’s averaging 47.9 fantasy points per game on the year this year. George is essentially is must-start in all formats but especially tonight as this game might have another shootout written all over it.
Nikola Mirotic (NO): $6,000 @ MIN
Mirotic returned to action on Wednesday night against the Cavs after a two week absence and played only 22 minutes but he showed just why the Pelicans needed him. Mirotic can stretch the floor for the Pelicans as they’ve needed some three-point shooting lately. He finished with 22.3 fantasy points but that was due to his minutes restriction. With the Pelicans having Thursday and Friday off, Mirotic should have ample enough rest to play more than 22 minutes on Saturday so he should be added to lineups.
Power Forward
Jerami Grant (OKC): $5,400 vs SA
Grant is my value play of the night as he comes in with a cheap salary. Grant really showed out on Thursday night against the Spurs when Steven Adams went out of the game with an ankle injury. Adams is listed as questionable so if he were to miss this game, Grant would essentially play Center for the Thunder and get somewhere in the high 30s in terms of minutes just due to the lack of depth in the Thunder frontcourt. Grant is averaging 26.7 fantasy points per game over his last four outings but he’s just coming off a 46.9 point performance against the Spurs. Grant should be in most lineups just because he had a really high floor with the injuries of Steven Adams and Nerlens Noel.
Marcus Morris (BOS): $4,800 @ ORL
Morris is coming off of two straight 30 point fantasy performances as he’s been on a tear recently. He draws the Magic on Saturday night which should bode well for him as Orlando has struggled to stop the power forward position all year long. Morris is averaging 26.1 fantasy points per game on the year and players should expect somewhere in the mid-20s range in terms of points on Saturday night.
Center
Willie Cauley-Stein (SAC): $7,600 vs CHA
The center position is arguably the hardest position to pick players from as there aren’t many cheap options but Cauley-Stein makes the most sense for the price he’s listed at. Cauley-Stein draws a struggling Hornets team at a time where he’s been on fire as he’s had three 40+ fantasy performances over his last four games including coming off a 41.3 point game in his last outing. He’s averaging 32.4 fantasy points per game on the year which is a career-high and ranked second on the Kings. Start him and expect somewhere in the 30s from him in this one.
