Dillon Peters (LAA): $7,100 vs. PIT
I didn’t know anything about Peters a month ago, but he’s a pleasantly good value on this slate. The main reason why is because of Pittsburgh’s struggles against lefties. The Pirates currently rank 26th in runs scored and dead-last in both OBP and OPS against southpaws this season. That’s advantageous for a solid pitcher like Peters, who’s allowed three runs or fewer in all five of his starts. That’s led to a 3.45 ERA, 1.34 WHIP, and 24 percent K rate, which is all you can ask for from a player priced so cheaply in such a premium matchup. Peters and the Angels enter this game as a -130 favorite.
