No. 13 – Los Angeles Chargers – Rashawn Slater (OL)
There were some rumors that Slater would be picked ahead of Oregon OL Penei Sewell. While that didn’t come to fruition, it shows how highly thought of Slater is. The Northwestern product is an asset in both the passing game and the running game, and he’ll be able to play left tackle for the Chargers. Protecting Justin Herbert is obviously a priority for this franchise.
No. 14 – New York Jets (from Minnesota Vikings) – Alijah Vera-Tucker (OL)
The Jets gave up the 23rd, 66th, and 86th overall picks to acquire the 14th and 143rd overall picks. They landed themselves a versatile offensive lineman to add to what should be a much improved offensive line. Vera-Tucker should start immediately at left guard but has the tools and tape to eventually be moved to the outside. He has Pro Bowl upside.
