Tight end continues to be a top-heavy position, and that appears likely to continue in 2021. To help you navigate the position, Dan Harris is here with his early top-10 tight end rankings for half-PPR leagues.

Travis Kelce (KC)
Kelce's production is honestly absurd at this point. 1,416 receiving yards last year, which represented Kelce's fifth straight thousand-yard season, were both NFL records for the tight end position. He also set career-bests in receptions (105), touchdowns (11), yards per reception (13.5) and plenty of other categories. The question isn't whether he should be the top tight end off the board, because of course he should. The question is how high do you draft him. With his outrageous combination of elite floor and ceiling production at an incredibly thin position, he will and should be in the first-round conversation.
Dallas Goedert (PHI)
It's hard to take away too much from Goedert's 2020 season. He missed five games with an injury and the Eagles' passing offense was an outright disaster with Carson Wentz under center. But there's a lot of room for optimism when it comes to Goedert's 2021 season. Not only will Zach Ertz almost certainly not be on the roster, but Jalen Hurts, with whom Goedert has been working out this offseason, should ignite some much-needed explosiveness into the passing game with a full complement of preseason reps. Just 26 years old, Goedert could take a major step forward this year, and he should be drafted with confidence in all formats.
Logan Thomas (WAS)
Thomas's skills were evident all season long, but he didn't become a particularly fantasy-relevant tight end until Week 12. From that point on, he averaged nine targets, seven receptions, 60 yards receiving, and half a touchdown per game. Over the course of a full season, that would have made him the third-best tight end in fantasy in half-PPR leagues behind only Travis Kelce. With Ryan Fitzpatrick under center, Washington should only become more pass-happy, which should portend good things for Thomas, especially if he continues his success in the red zone (his 16 receptions ranked second in the NFL among tight ends in 2020). Draft Thomas as a set-it-and-forget it option at a thin position.
