Kaiir Elam

Unless Kaiir Elam can turn pass deflections into interceptions, he won’t reach the upper echelon of cornerbacks.

Scott Bogman, host of the FantasyPros Dynasty Football Podcast and IDP Podcast, teamed with Joe Pisapia, co-host of the IDP Podcast, to provide dynasty rookie profiles for IDP players. They break down the top names of the 2022 NFL Draft class as you prepare for your dynasty rookie and startup drafts.

Dynasty IDP Rookie Prospect Profile

Kaiir Elam is tough to figure out. He’s good in coverage (allowed fewer than 200 yards), but in 2021 he was penalized seven times in only 10 games. Elam can make a play on the ball; he had 20 PDs in three seasons at Florida but only came down with one pick in 2021 and had five INTs in three seasons. Elam will probably only play outside, and he did take a dip in film and had an injury in 2021, so he may drop further than expected but should still be a Day 2 pick. There are probably better players in this draft for IDPs unless Elam can start turning those PDs into INTs.
