George Springer (elbow) remains out of the lineup on Saturday

Fantasy Impact: Springer has been out for several days now with his elbow injury and was not available to pinch-hit on Friday. It’s unclear if he is available to pinch-hit on Saturday, but the fact that he hasn’t yet been placed on the IL is a good sign that his injury isn’t overly serious. Monitor the news and hopefully, he will return on Sunday.
Wander Franco (quad) to be activated Sunday
The Rays are looking to activate Wander Franco from the IL on Sunday. (Source: Marc Topkin on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact: Franco has not played since May 30th and will make his long-awaited return to the Rays lineup. He hadn’t played up to his highest potential prior to the quad injury, but was still productive through 190 PAs. He has a .305 XBA (92nd percentile) and a stellar 10.5% K%. He should pick up steam in no time and produce like the elite hitter he is.
Jeremy Pena (thumb) to be activated Sunday

Fantasy Impact: Pena will return after a brief stint on the IL (since 6/15). He was on a roll before the thumb injury and should be able to keep that going once activated Sunday. He has a 122 wRC+ in 43 plate appearances in June.
Ke’Bryan Hayes (shoulder) out of the lineup again on Saturday
Ke’Bryan Hayes is out of the lineup again on Saturday for the Pirates’ game against the Rays.
Fantasy Impact: Hayes injured his shoulder in a collision at home plate on the final play of Thursday’s game. Although he avoided serious injury, he’s reportedly sore, and the Pirates are being careful with him, especially considering how important he is to the club, and have held him out the last two days. There’s been no suggestion that Hayes could head to the IL, so for now, expect him to be in the lineup on Sunday.
