Carlos Rodon threw from 120 feet at Yankee Stadium Thursday and added that his back discomfort is gone after receiving an injection recently.

Rodon is still unsure when he’ll be able to pitch in games but seems to be making progress nonetheless. Rodon has struggled with injuries in his career but made a career-high 31 starts last season while turning in a 2.88 ERA with the Giants.

New York Yankees slugger Giancarlo Stanton is “feeling really good” in his recovery from a hamstring injury, as per manager Aaron Boone.

Boone said Stanton will need to undergo further tests to see if he’s ready to ramp up but is feeling really good nonetheless. The oft-injured outfielder has gotten into just 13 games this season, hitting .269 with four homers and an .854 OPS across 54 trips to the plate.
