Baker Mayfield and Kyle Trask have had equal first-team reps
Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles told reporters Tuesday that Baker Mayfield and Kyle Trask have had equal first team reps at QB.

Bowles added that “it is constant analysis” in regards to the Bucs quarterback room. Mayfield should still be the Week 1 starter for Tampa Bay, but it will be a situation to monitor nonetheless throughout the offseason.

Derek Carr: Jon Gruden talks to Saints about coaching Carr
Jon Gruden met with the Saints coaching staff to discuss coaching QB Derek Carr.

Gruden met with the Saints at their facilities last week. “In Jon, we have a resource here that is football through and through,” Allen told Albert Breer over the phone Saturday. “And he’s had an opportunity to work with Derek Carr. “So what better [way to use that] resource than to just get some thoughts and ideas on how he worked with Derek and what he thought worked well with Derek?” The Saints signed Carr to a four-year deal back in March.
